MOAB PAPER ANNOUNCES LATEST PRODUCT, DESERT VARNISH GEL
Fast Drying, Highly-Flexible Product Specific for Archival Printing Enters the Market
JANUARY 08, 2008 – Legion Paper, the nation’s premier paper company dedicated to the art of fine print, announced its Moab brand has released its latest product, Desert Varnish Gel which is available to compliment the Desert Varnish spray currently on the market. Once again, Moab by Legion Paper has brought to market a product that reiterates the company’s ongoing mission to bring the most innovative products to the inkjet printing market.
Desert Varnish Gel is a water-based gloss coating for archival pigment inks to be used with canvas, fine art paper and some photo papers. The gel dries highly-flexible, has
UV inhibitors and is water proof and scratch proof when cured.
The new Desert Varnish Gel is suitable for portfolios and limited prints as well as any print, which needs extra protection like those displayed without glass. The gloss coating greatly improves the longevity of prints and can be applied with a brush, roller, or spray gun.
Desert Varnish Gel cleans up with soap and water and has a very subtle odor. The product can be purchased in pints and gallon sizes
“We are thrilled to release such a high-quality product,” said Greg Schern, Director of Digital Imaging. “There is currently nothing on the market that can compete with such a crisp clean gloss, enabling flexibility and timed drying.”
Moab by Legion Paper will exhibit Desert Varnish Gel at Imaging USA Expo in Tampa Bay, Florida from January 6th to 8th and again in Las Vegas at PMA January 31st through February 2nd.
